Pope Jane was an all female pop/rock AAA trio based in the outback called Montana, internationally noted for their groove-based harmony-woven songwriting strengths, the effectiveness of their song hooks, and their tremendous live performance. The band comprised of Danielle Egnew on Lead vocals /guitar, Holly Jerke on Bass and backing vocals, and Kristen Coyner on Drums and backing vocals.With the release of their last album, "Hide Me From The Moon", Pope Jane had signed a licensing agreement with AEI Music Network to feature songs on AEI's world-distributed commercial foreground music tracks. Pope Jane has showcased at The RockrGrl Music Conference 2000 in Seattle, and The Riverside Orange Blossom Music Festival 2000 in Riverside, California. The band was chosen from thousands of Indie bands worldwide as one of The Top Five Indie Bands of 2000 by FEMMUSIC.
Pope Jane has received international recognition of their last two albums, with DJ's and radio programmers from Spain, Italy, The Netherlands, Russia, The Czech Republic, and Scotland jamming their mailbox with material requests. Stateside, the band is spun on both commercial and college FM stations, from Florida to New York to Oregon. Pope Jane was also found on numerous Internet broadcasters.
